LET OUR HEARTS CONNECT AS ONE

The doors are shut and bolted,

but the hearts are open wide

The streets are empty

but the houses are warm and alive.

The restaurants are shut down

but the kitchen's are in full swing

Yes there's a threat hovering around

But after every winter, there's always spring.

For just a little while,

the world has deviated from it's usual style

There's no morning rush, no honking buses to school

The world hasn't stopped no, just taking it slow for the time

There is pain and suffering no doubt,

Times are hard, it's a difficult mount.

However in times like these,

Kindness and unity is what we need.

Let's all cheer each other up

in a time when sadness tends to prevail

Even though we can't hold hands,

let our hearts connect as one

Let's pray for those men in white

who fight with their lives on the line

Let's talk to our loved ones,

Telling them to be safe and fine

While we have to sit inside

The nature shines fervently bright

Dolphins come out from their hide

The grey skies now a blue paradise

In this mayhem of death and life,

Is an impalpable message god provides

While us humans fight all the time 

A little virus reminds us the value of life

Take it as a test and not a threat

To see how much we can fight

Let's not lose hope now

For tomorrow will bring a day sunny and bright

To Corona we'll all say

We'll come together and make you go away

And to us we'll remind not to run

Even though we can't hold hands

let our hearts connect as one
